1 Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Lock Carrier with Attachments ] Lock Carrier

Service position, refer to => [ Service Position ]

2 Bolt

Left and right

Tightening specification: 8 Nm

3 Bolt

Left and right

Tightening specification: 12 Nm

4 Rubber Stop

Left and right

Secured with bolt - 3 -.

5 Bolt

4 pieces per side

Tightening specification: 60 Nm

Service Position

Setting





- Remove front bumper cover. Refer to=> [ Front Bumper Cover ] Front Bumper Cover.

- In vehicles with charge air cooler, disconnect pressure hoses.

- Remove the bolts - 5 - at left and right longitudinal member.

- Install (T 10093) on left and right longitudinal members.

- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 - with stop buffer - 4 - at left and right on top of lock carrier - 1 -.

- Lock carrier - 1 - can be pulled toward front approximately. 10 cm on (T 10093).

Resetting

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

- Align the lock carrier and attachments with the longitudinal members and between the fender.

Make sure that pressure hoses for charge air cooler are re-engaged correctly.

Hoses and lines must not be pinched.

Pressure Hoses, Removing

- Disengage connector coupling - 1 - and disconnect pressure hose - 2 - in direction of - arrow - from coupling.





- When connecting pressure hoses, make sure that connector couplings engage audibly.

Depending on model version, slight deviations for the air vents must be considered.

Engaged in lock carrier.

3 Left Air Vent

Engaged in lock carrier.

4 Right Air Vent

Engaged in lock carrier.
