1 Intake Manifold

• With vacuum reservoir, see - item 25 -.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold.

2 from Cylinder Head Cover

3 Crankcase Vent Calve

• With the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) heating element.

4 Seal

• Always replace.

5 Bolt, 10 Nm

6 Bearing Cap

• For the change over roller of the intake manifold change over.

7 Seal

• Always replace.

8 Bolt, 20 Nm

• For the front intake manifold support, see - item 6 - in => [ Secondary Air Injection System Components Assembly Overview ] Secondary Air Injection System Components Assembly Overview.

9 Low Pressure Connection

• For the brake booster.

10 Low Pressure Connection

• To the exhaust flap valve 1.

11 Low Pressure Connection

• To the vacuum reservoir.

12 Rear Intake Manifold Support

13 Low Pressure Connection

• For the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve.

14 Vacuum Hose for Leak Detection Pump (LDP) (V144 )

15 Non Return Valve

• black connection faces toward the T-piece.

16 from Exhaust Flap Valve 1 (N321)

• Refer to => [ Individual Components of the Vacuum Control
Unit ] Service and Repair.

17 Throttle Valve Control Module (J338)

• With the throttle drive (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)), throttle drive angle sensor 1 (for EPC) and throttle drive angle sensor 2 (for EPC).

• When replacing, adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the throttle valve control module. Refer to "Guided Functions".

18 Bracket

19 Bolt, 10 Nm

20 Vacuum Actuator

• For the variable intake manifold.

• Checking vacuum actuator for intake manifold flaps. Refer to => [ Intake Manifold Flap Vacuum Actuator, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.

21 To Intake Manifold Tuning (IMT) Valve (N156)

• See - item 7 - in => [ Vacuum System Assembly Overview ] [1][2]Diagrams.

22 Control Lever

• For the change over roller.

• Ensure the lever is securely seated.

23 Change Over Roller

24 Gasket

• Note the installed position.

• Replace if damaged.

25 to Vacuum Reservoir

• For the variable intake manifold and secondary air injection (AIR), see - item 11 - in => [ Vacuum System Assembly Overview ] [1][2]Diagrams.

• Check vacuum reservoir for leaks using the hand vacuum pump (VAS 6213).

26 Alignment Bushing

• For the intake manifold mounting.

• For attaching the seal.

27 Bolt, 13 Nm
