Muffler and Mounts Assembly Overview





1 Suspended Mount

• Replace if damaged.

• Riveted to the shield.

2 Bolt, 25 Nm

3 Retaining Loop

• Replace if damaged.

4 Center Muffler

• Unit with rear muffler.

5 Mount with Retaining Loops

• replace if damaged.

6 Rear Muffler

• Unit with center muffler.

7 to Vacuum Control Unit

• Location: In the left rear wheel housing.

• Individual components, refer to => [ Individual Components of the Vacuum Control
Unit ].

• To remove, remove the wheel housing liner.

8 Vacuum Actuator

• Checking, refer to => [ Exhaust Flap, Checking ] Exhaust Flap, Checking.

9 Clamping Sleeve

• Align the exhaust system before tightening. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing.

• Clamping sleeve location, refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing.

• Tighten the nuts evenly.

10 Nut, 25 Nm

1 Separating point

3 Vacuum reservoir
4 Tighten bracket to 25 Nm
5 Exhaust flap valve 1
6 to the exhaust flap vacuum actuator, see - item 8 - in the overview above.
