Fuel Injectors, Cleaning

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Ultrasonic cleaning unit (VAS 6418)

• Injection module mounting plate (VAS 6418/1)

• Cleaning fluid (VAS 6418/2)

Conditions

• The (VAS 6418) must be filled to the upper edge of the holes with (VAS 6418/2) - magnifying glass -.





• Follow the safety precautions and the instructions for the (VAS 6418), refer to --> Operating Instructions.

Procedure

- Remove the fuel injections. Refer to --> [ Fuel Injectors ] Fuel Injectors.

- Install the fuel injectors - 1 - into the (VAS 6418/1) - 2 -.





- Dip the fuel injectors and the (VAS 6418/1) into the (VAS 6418/2).

- Adjust the temperature to 50 degrees using the knob - 4 -.

- Set a cleaning time of 30 minutes using the knob - 5 -.

- Switch the ultrasonic device on with the button - 3 -.

• The time begins counting down once the cleaning temperature reaches 50 degrees.

- Always replace the combustion chamber seal (Teflon seal) for each fuel injector after cleaning. Refer to--> [ Fuel Injector Combustion Chamber Teflon Seal ] Fuel Injector Combustion Chamber Teflon Seal.

- Install the fuel injectors. Refer to --> [ Fuel Injectors ] Fuel Injectors.
