Oil Cooler
Removing
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.
- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
- Reposition the coolant inlet hose (7) and outlet hose (6) clamps at the oil cooler.
- Remove the coolant inlet hose (7) and outlet hose (6) from oil cooler.
- Remove the oil filter (1).
- Remove the oil cooler bolt (2) from the oil cooler (3).
- Remove the oil cooler (3).
Installing
- Lubricate the seal and position the oil cooler (3) so that the notch of the oil cooler is aligned to the notch on oil pan (8).
• Position the flat side of oil cooler parallel to oil pan rail.
- Position the oil cooler to the engine block.
- Install the oil cooler bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to 54 Nm (40 ft lbs).
- Install the oil filter (1).
- Connect the coolant inlet coolant hose (7) and outlet hose (6) to oil cooler (3).
- Position the coolant inlet hose (7) and outlet hose (6) clamps at the oil cooler.
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.
