Engine, Installing

When guiding the engine/transmission assembly into the body, bring the subframe into contact with the body using the scissor lift table. "Pulling" the subframe up with the bolts can damage the threaded inserts.

- Reconnect all lines, hoses and electrical connections that were disconnected for the removal procedure.

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Tightening specifications

- For the subframe tightening specifications.

- Install the selector lever cable on the transmission.

- Fill the Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).

- Connect the Air Conditioning (A/C) lines.

- Fill the power steering fluid.

- Install the noise insulation panel.

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Draining and Filling ] Draining and Filling.

Observe the safety precautions that apply to road tests. Refer to => [ Safety Precautions ] Diesel Fuel Injection.

- Perform a road test and check all the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memories. Refer to => [ Engine Control Module DTC Memory, Checking and Erasing ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.
