Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper Shaft Seal, Removing and Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pressure piece (T10354)





Removing

Proceed as follows:

- Remove vibration damper => [ Vibration Damper, Removing and Installing ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the vibration damper and mount the Thrust Piece (T10368).





- Pry out the sealing ring.

Installing

• Tightening specifications => [ Ribbed Belt Drive, Assembly Overview ] Ribbed Belt Drive, Assembly Overview.

- Clean running and sealing surface.

- Disconnect the Thrust Piece (T10368).

- Pull the sealing ring - arrow - using the Thrust Piece (T10354) and the vibration damper bolt in all the way.





• Replace the vibration damper bolt

• O-ring, replace

The rest of the assembly is basically a reverse of the disassembling sequence.
