Timing Chain Covers Overview






1 Bolt

Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]

2 Shaft Seal

For the crankshaft, transmission side

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Transmission Side ] Service and Repair.

3 Alignment Bushing

2 pieces

4 Lower Timing Chain Cover

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Timing Chain Cover ] Lower Timing Chain Cover

5 Left Cylinder Head Gasket

6 Left Timing Chain Cover

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Left Timing Chain Cover ] Left Timing Chain Cover

7 Bolt

Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]

8 O-ring

Replace

9 Left Coolant Intermediate Pipe

Drive out with drift

10 O-ring

Replace

11 Bracket

For the left oxygen sensors electrical connectors

12 Bolt

Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]

13 Bolt

Tightening specification and sequence, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence ]

14 Bracket

For the right oxygen sensors electrical connectors

15 O-rings

Replace

16 Right Coolant Intermediate Pipe

Drive out with drift

17 Right Timing Chain Cover

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Right Timing Chain Cover ] Right Timing Chain Cover

18 Right Cylinder Head Gasket

19 Alignment Bushing

2 pieces

20 Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor (G28)


21 Bolt

Left Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence





- Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm in the following sequence: - 1 to 8 -.

Right Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence





- Tighten right timing chain cover bolts to 9 Nm in - 1 to 8 - sequence.

The brackets - arrows A, B - are connected with the left timing chain cover.

Lower Timing Chain Cover, Tightening Specifications and Sequence





Replace bolts which have been tightened to an additional torque.

- Tighten bolts in 6 stages as follows:
