Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)) in Seats.
2. Remove the console. Refer to Console Replacement (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
3. Remove the center vent duct screw.
4. Remove the center vent duct.
5. Remove the instrument panel sound insulator.
Remove the self-locking tabs to release the sound insulator.
6. Remove the center pillar lower molding by pulling rearward.
7. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement (Carpet Retainer Replacement).
8. Remove the hinge pillar trim finish panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement).




9. Remove the carpet.

Installation Procedure





Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.

1. Install the carpet.
2. Install the hinge pillar trim finish panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement (Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement).
3. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement (Carpet Retainer Replacement).
4. Install the center pillar lower molding.
Install the center pillar lower molding by snapping in place.
5. Install the instrument panel sound insulator.
Install the self-locking tabs to secure the sound insulator.
6. Install the center vent duct.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

7. Install the center vent duct screws.

Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).

8. Install the console. Refer to Console Replacement (Service and Repair) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
9. Remove the front seats. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Left Front))Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front) (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Right Front)) in Seats.
