Installation








SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR





(a) Check that the power switch is OFF.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

(c) Install the rear airbag sensor with the bolt.
Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80in-lbf)
NOTICE:
- If the rear airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the rear airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

(d) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the rear airbag sensor.
(e) Connect the connector.

4. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for Fixed Seat Type) Installation
5. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
(a) Install the rear seatback assembly LH Installation.
(b) Install the rear seatback assembly RH Installation.
6. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) Installation
7. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY CENTER (for Power Seat) Installation
8. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Seat Type) Installation
9. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)
(a) Install the rear seat cushion assembly LH Installation.
(b) Install the rear seat cushion assembly RH Installation.
10. INSTALL REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH (for Power Seat) Installation
11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation
13. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire) Installation
14. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
15. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
(a) Check the SRS warning light Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
