SUSPENSION CONTROL: ACTIVE STABILIZER SUSPENSION SYSTEM: C192D: Timeout Initialization Check of Front Actuator
C192D - Timeout Initialization Check of Front Actuator

DESCRIPTION

Immediately after turning the power switch ON (READY), the front active stabilizer control ECU checks the condition of the active stabilizer suspension system. If there is a malfunction during the check, the initial check does not complete, resulting in the output of DTC C192D. Also, the initial check can determine if the rear active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle, and if the front active stabilizer control ECU is in the front or rear of the vehicle. This DTC is output by a normally recognized front active stabilizer control ECU when a malfunction in the rear side occurs.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Inspect the condition of the rear active stabilizer control ECU connector terminal.

OK:

Connector and terminal are not deformed or damaged. Terminal is not loose or corroded.

HINT
The harness from the rear active stabilizer control actuator to the rear active stabilizer control ECU is part of the rear active stabilizer control actuator. If the harness is damaged and cannot be repaired, replace the rear active stabilizer control actuator assembly Removal.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC (POWER STEERING SYSTEM)

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch ON (READY) and the Techstream on.

(d) Check that power steering system DTCs are not output Power Steering System.

OK:

DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO POWER STEERING SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART) Power Steering System
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INTERCHANGE FRONT AND REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Interchange the rear active stabilizer control ECU with the front active stabilizer control ECU, and install them securely.

HINT
- Interchange the front and rear active stabilizer control ECUs and check for DTCs. After interchanging the ECUs, if a rear stabilizer DTC is displayed, it can be determined that the rear active stabilizer control ECU is malfunctioning. If no DTC is output, the rear active stabilizer control actuator is malfunctioning.
- For the ECU removal and installation procedures, refer to the front ECU procedures Removal or the rear ECU procedures Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CLEAR DTC

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the Techstream on.

(d) Clear the DTC Active Stabilizer Suspension System.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK OPERATION OF REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU

(a) Turn the power switch OFF.

(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

(c) Turn the power switch ON (READY) and wait 30 seconds or more. Then check for rear stabilizer DTCs Active Stabilizer Suspension System.

OK:

DTC C1905 is not output

NG -- REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU Removal

OK -- REPLACE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY Removal
