Removal

1GR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE

2. REMOVE NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

(a) Disconnect the 2 water by-pass pipe hoses and remove the pipe.





3. REMOVE HEATER WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hose and remove the 2 bolts and heater water pipe.





4. REMOVE EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET





Remove the 3 nuts and emission control valve set.

5. REMOVE NO. 2 EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET





Remove the 3 nuts and No. 2 emission control valve set.

6. REMOVE WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET





Remove the 7 bolts and 7 wiring harness clamp brackets.

7. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY





Remove the 6 bolts and 6 ignition coils.

8. REMOVE FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY





Disconnect the 2 fuel pipes Service Precautions.

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and No. 1 fuel pipe and No. 2 fuel pipe.

9. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD Removal

12. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

14. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

15. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Removal

17. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH.





18. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH.
