Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Exhaust Manifold, Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter and Attachments Assembly Overview

1 Warm air collector plate

2 Heated oxygen sensor (G39) , 50 Nm

Use ring spanner set for oxygen sensor (3337) for removal and installation

Threads of new oxygen sensors are coated with assembly paste

when using an oxygen sensor once again, only use hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3) to grease the thread; do not let paste get onto slits of oxygen sensor body

If sealing ring is leaking cut open and replace.
