Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory, Checking

- Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS5051 and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" in selection. Engine should be idling.

NOTE: If the engine will not start, crank it for at least 5 seconds with the starter and leave the ignition on.







Display on VAS5051:
- Under -1- select diagnostic function "02 - check DTC memory".







Display on VAS5051:
1. Contents of DTC memory
- 0 Faults recognized
or
- X Faults recognized

2. Fault
- Fault code
- Fault location
- Fault type

A. If malfunctions were recognized:
- Print out screen content or On Board Diagnostic (OBD) report.
- Exit function "02 - check DTC memory" by pressing button.







Display on VAS5051:
- Repair DTC(s) as specified in DTC table. Testing and Inspection
- Reselect diagnostic function "02 - Check DTC memory" and erase the DTC memory.

- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Ending Output

B. If no malfunction was recognized:
- Select diagnostic function "06 - End output" in selection. Ending Output
