Wiring Harness: Service and Repair






Wiring Harness in Transmission

Removing

- Remove Mechatronic unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic ] Mechatronic.

- Touch vehicle ground with hand (without gloves) to discharge static.

CAUTION!
Always discharge static by touching a grounded object, e.g. vehicle ground, before touching or removing the mechatronic unit.

Never touch contacts in 16-pin connector, as the static charge could destroy the control module and thus the mechatronic unit.

- Carefully pry the wiring harness - A - from the mechatronic unit - B -. At the same time, detach tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness from mechatronics unit.





If the tab on the backside of the wiring harness breaks off, the wiring harness must be replaced. Refer to => [ Wiring Harness in Transmission ] Service and Repair.

- Carefully disconnect the connector - C - from socket - D - of the mechatronic unit.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

- Carefully connect the connector - C - into socket - D - of the mechatronics unit.

- Clip wiring harness - A - onto the mechatronics unit - B -. At the same time, insert the tab - arrow - on backside of wiring harness into the mechatronics unit.

- Install the mechatronics unit. Refer to => [ Mechatronic ] Mechatronic.

- Fill with ATF. Refer to => [ ATF, Draining or Filling after Repair ] ATF, Draining or Filling After Repair.
