Diagnosis System

CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM:

DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

1. CAN BUS CHECK
(a) Using the Techstream, select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Select".
2. CHECK FOR INSTALLED SYSTEMS (ECUS & SENSORS) THAT ADOPT CAN COMMUNICATION
(a) Systems (ECUs, sensors) that adopt CAN communication vary depending on the vehicle's optional settings. Check which systems (ECUs, sensors) are installed on the vehicle.

3. DTC TABLE BY ECU
HINT:
- In the CAN communication system, CAN communication system DTCs can be displayed by the ECU using the Techstream.
- If CAN communication system DTCs are output, trouble cannot be determined only by the DTCs. Perform troubleshooting according to "HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING" How to Proceed With Troubleshooting. (If, however, U0235 is output alone, see the dynamic laser cruise control system.)

(a) HV control ECU (HV)
HINT:
- DTC communication uses the CAN communication system.
- Distance control ECU data is also output.

- *1: Displayed on the "communication malfunction DTCs" screen of the Techstream. If U0235 is output alone, the CAN communication system is normal U0235 for U0235).
- Check for INFORMATION Hybrid Control System.
- U0110-159, U0110-160, U0110-656, and U0110-657 are not the DTCs for the CAN communication system. Therefore, refer to the troubleshooting procedures for the hybrid control system.

(b) HV control ECU (ENGINE)

(c) Skid control ECU
HINT: DTC communication uses the SIL line.

HINT: Check for INFORMATION Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(d) Power steering ECU
HINT: DTC communication uses the SIL line.

(e) Gateway ECU
HINT: The gateway ECU is connected to the CAN communication system, but CAN communication DTCs are not output.

4. DTC COMBINATION TABLE

HINT:
- o: Output
- ▲: Outputs under the following condition
- X: Not output
- *1: If only the following DTCs for the CAN communication system are output, refer to the troubleshooting procedures for the hybrid control system.
DTC Output ECU:

- *2: If the HV control ECU outputs DTC U0129-222, refer to the troubleshooting procedures for DTC U0293 output from the skid control ECU. If DTC U0129-529 is output, check for DTCs of the skid control ECU.

(a) Perform troubleshooting according to the combination of DTCs output.
