DESCRIPTION
If the manual UP / DOWN and AUTO DOWN functions do not operate, a malfunction may be present in the power window regulator master switch, power window regulator motor or wire harness.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE)
(a) Remove the power window regulator motor.
(b) Apply battery voltage to connector terminals 1 and 2.
NOTICE:
Do not apply battery voltage to any terminals except terminals 1 and 2.
(c) Check that the motor gear rotates smoothly as follows.
OK:
(d) Reinstall the motor.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SIDE) Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (DRIVER SWITCH)
(a) Remove the power window regulator master switch.
(b) Check the resistance.
Standard resistance:
(c) Reinstall the master switch.
NG -- REPLACE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH - MOTOR (DRIVER SIDE))
(a) Disconnect the H5 power window regulator master switch connector.
(b) Disconnect the H3 power window regulator motor connector.
(c) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance:
(d) Reconnect the motor connector.
(e) Reconnect the master switch connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- GO TO POWER WINDOWS DO NOT OPERATE AT ALL Power Windows Do Not Operate At All
