Shift Lever and Shift Housing from 10.06, Servicing

• Lubricate bearing areas and slide surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).

• Selector mechanism, disassembling and assembling --> [ Selector Mechanism, Disassembling and Assembling ] Selector Mechanism, Disassembling and Assembling





1 Base plate

• Bend open tabs to remove

• Always replace

2 Gasket

• Always replace

3 Selector lever

• Can be removed and installed with shift lever guide installed --> [ (item 15) Shift lever guide ]

4 Damping washer

• Slide out of shift lever as far as stop - arrow -

5 Lock washer

• Do not damage cables when removing

• Always replace

6 Selector cable

• Pry off of selector bracket

• Press onto selector bracket inside the shift mechanism

7 Bushing

8 Shift cable

• Pry off of shift lever guide

• Press onto shift lever guide inside shift mechanism

• Installation position --> [ Shift Mechanism Installation Position ] Procedures

9 Damper

10 Bearing shell

• Is damaged during removal

• Always replace

11 Bushing

12 Lock washer

• Removing and installing --> [ Removing and installing lock washer ] Shift Lever and Shift Housing through 10.06, Servicing

13 Spring

• Removing and installing --> [ Removing and installing lock washer ] Shift Lever and Shift Housing through 10.06, Servicing

14 Bushing

15 Shift lever guide

16 M8 25 Nm hex head nut; M6 8 Nm hex head nut

• Quantity: 4

17 Gasket

• Between shift housing and floor

• Self-adhesive

• Adhere to shift housing

18 Shift housing

• With spring and selector bracket

• Spring and selector bracket cannot be removed
