Shift Mechanism Installation Position
- Arrow A - Gear movement
- Arrow B - Selection movement
A - Shift cable for gear movement
B - Selector cable for selector movement
C - Heat shield
• Remove before removing gear selector mechanism.
1 - Transmission shift lever
2 - Relay lever
• Note radio coding for vehicles with coded radio.
• When working on the shift mechanism in the engine compartment, disconnect the Ground (GND) cable from the battery
• If battery is re-connected, please note work after re-connecting battery.
• When working on the selector mechanism in the engine compartment, remove the complete air filter housing, if it is located above the selector mechanism
• To replace operating cables, remove shift mechanism --> [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism.
• Do not bend operating cables.
