Procedures






Shift Mechanism Installation Position

- Arrow A - Gear movement

- Arrow B - Selection movement





A - Shift cable for gear movement

B - Selector cable for selector movement

C - Heat shield

Remove before removing gear selector mechanism.

1 - Transmission shift lever

2 - Relay lever

Note radio coding for vehicles with coded radio.

When working on the shift mechanism in the engine compartment, disconnect the Ground (GND) cable from the battery

If battery is re-connected, please note work after re-connecting battery.

When working on the selector mechanism in the engine compartment, remove the complete air filter housing, if it is located above the selector mechanism

To replace operating cables, remove shift mechanism --> [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism.

Do not bend operating cables.
