Selector Mechanism Overview
1 Selector Handle with Cover
• Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover must be removed. Refer to => [ Emergency Release from ] Emergency Release from "P".
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Lever Handle ] Selector Lever Handle.
2 Center Console Cover
• For the selector mechanism.
• Removing and installing.
3 Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever Cable
• With an integrated selector lever sensor system control module, with the selector lever, Tiptronic switch, selector lever park position lock switch and shift lever solenoid.
• The selector lever cable can only be replaced together with the selector mechanism.
• Do not grease the selector lever cable.
• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

4 Bolt
• 8 Nm
5 Nut
• 8 Nm
• Quantity: 4
6 Selector Housing
• Available only together with the selector mechanism, refer to the Parts Catalog.
7 Bolt
• 20 Nm + an additional 90° (1/4) turn.
• Always replace.
• Quantity: 2
• For securing the cable bracket to the transmission.
8 Cable Bracket
• For the selector lever cable.
9 Lock Washer
• Always replace after removing.
10 Lock Washer
• Always replace after removing.
• Installed position: The offset side faces forward, toward the front of the vehicle.
