INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT: A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL STAY
(a) Attach the 5 claws to install the 5 stays.

2. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 5 claws to install the safety pad.
(b) Install the 5 bolts and nut.
(c) Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15ft-lbf)

(d) Connect the connectors and clamps.
(e) Attach the 2 claws to install the sensor.

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Installation
4. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER Installation
5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) Installation
6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side) Installation
8. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
9. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Hold the bottom with your left hand and side with your right hand. Then insert the register into the instrument panel opening.
NOTICE:
Do not let the claws on the sides of the register contact the instrument panel surface.
HINT: Insert the bottom of the register first.

(c) Press in the 4 claws simultaneously to install the register.

10. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Hold the bottom with your right hand and side with your left hand. Then insert the register into the instrument panel opening.
NOTICE:
Do not let the claws on the sides of the register contact the instrument panel surface.
HINT: Insert the bottom of the register first.

(c) Press in the 4 claws simultaneously to install the register.

16. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector and clamp, and install the compartment door.
(b) Install the 5 screws.
17. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING

(a) Attach the 5 clips to install the moulding.
18. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
19. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL Installation
20. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 4 claws to install the under cover.
21. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH

(a) Attach the 6 clips to install the side panel.
22. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation
23. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connectors and clamp.
(b) Attach the 2 claws.
(c) Install the under cover with the 2 screws.
24. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Install the combination meter with the 4 screws.
25. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Hold the back of the finish panel trip switch with your right hand, and connect the connector with your left hand.

(b) Hold the back of the finish panel light control rheostat with your right hand, and connect the connector with your left hand.

(d) Press up the lower right side of the finish panel to attach the clip.
NOTICE:
If the trip switch is pressed to attach the clip, the switch will be damaged.

(e) Press up the lower left side of the finish panel to attach the clip.
NOTICE:
If the light control rheostat switch is pressed to attach the clip, the switch will be damaged.

(f) Install the 2 clips.
26. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connectors.
(b) Attach the 5 clips and claw to install the safety pad.
(c) Install the 2 screws.

(d) Attach the claw to install the cover.
27. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING

(a) Attach the 2 clips to install the moulding.
28. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH

(a) Attach the 6 clips to install the side panel.
29. INSTALL TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPIRAL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
30. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/o Driver Monitor Camera) Installation
31. INSTALL STEERING COLUMN COVER (w/ Driver Monitor Camera) Installation
32. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Installation
33. INSTALL STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY Installation
34. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Installation
35. INSTALL SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE Installation
36. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
(a) Attach the 2 claws.
(b) Connect the connectors.
(c) Install the console box with the 4 bolts and 2 screws.

37. INSTALL LOWER CONSOLE COVER
(a) Install the cover.
38. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 5 clips and 2 claws to install the end panel.
39. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the connector.
(b) Attach the 2 clips to install the panel.
40. INSTALL REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL

(a) Connect the connectors.
(b) Attach the 6 clips.
(c) Install the panel with the 2 screws.
41. INSTALL NO. 3 BOX PANEL

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the box panel.
42. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the shift lever knob and twist it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
43. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

(a) Attach the 8 clips and claw to install the finish panel end.
44. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

(a) Attach the 8 clips and claw to install the finish panel end.
45. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
- Reset the AUTO TILT AWAY function setting to the previous condition by changing the customize parameter Repair Instruction - Customize Parameters.
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

46. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH Installation
