Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

3. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

6. DISCHARGE REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM Service and Repair

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

8. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR LH Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT UPPER FENDER PROTECTOR RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side Removal.

10. REMOVE ROOF DRIP SIDE FINISH MOULDING LH

12. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Removal

15. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY Removal

17. SEPARATE SUCTION PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt, and slide the hook connector.





(b) Disconnect the suction pipe sub-assembly.

(c) Remove the O-ring from the suction pipe sub-assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

18. SEPARATE COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE A

(a) Disconnect the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

(b) Remove the O-ring from the cooler refrigerant liquid pipe A.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering.

19. REMOVE HEATER WATER OUTLET HOSE

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the heater water outlet hose.





20. REMOVE HEATER WATER INLET HOSE

Use the same procedure for the heater water outlet hose.

(a) Release the 4 claws and remove the lower defroster nozzle assembly.





73. REMOVE MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU WITH BRACKET Removal

74. REMOVE CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER (w/ Intuitive Parking Assist System) Removal

75. REMOVE SKID CONTROL BUZZER Removal

76. REMOVE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

77. REMOVE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch) Removal

78. REMOVE ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU) Removal

79. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage each clamp and disconnect each connector.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 earth wires.





(c) Remove the 3 nuts, 2 bolts and 2 junction blocks.

(d) Remove the cap and bolt [A].

(e) Remove the 3 bolts and nut.

(f) Remove the 6 caps.

(g) Remove the 2 bolts.

(h) Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts.

NOTICE:
The "TORX" bolts on the passenger side can be removed with the collar for adjustment.

(i) Using a 12 mm hexagon wrench, remove the 2 collars and instrument panel reinforcement.

80. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONER UNIT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws, 3 bolts, and air conditioner unit assembly.





(b) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to remove the heater water outlet hose.

(c) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to remove the heater water inlet hose.

81. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR DUCT

(a) Remove the screw and No. 2 air duct.





82. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY Removal

83. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Release the claw and remove the blower assembly.
