Dashboard Removal/Installation
DASHBOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Front door Front Door Removal/Installation
b. Sail garnish Service and Repair
c. Front scuff plate inner Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation
d. Front side trim Front Side Trim Removal/Installation
e. Side panel (passenger's side) Side Panel Removal/Installation
f. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation
g. Center console (Vehicles with rear vent) Center Console Removal/Installation
h. Selector lever knob (ATX) Front Console Removal/Installation
i. Shift lever knob (MTX) Front Console Removal/Installation
j. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation
k. Glove compartment Service and Repair
l. Dashboard under cover Dashboard Under Cover Removal/Installation
m. Hood release lever Service and Repair

aa. Rear heater duct (1) Service and Repair
ab. Windshield wiper arm and blade Windshield Wiper Arm and Blade Removal/Installation
ac. Cowl grille Cowl Grille Removal/Installation
4. Disconnect the dashboard harness connectors.
5. Remove in the order indicated in the figure.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Bolt Removal Note
CAUTION:
- Bolts or tools dropped into the A-pillar cannot be retrieved. To prevent this, after inserting clean rags into the A-pillar, roll up regular paper into a tube and insert it into each hole, and then secure each tube so that it does not move while performing the work.
Dashboard Removal Note
WARNING:
- Removing the dashboard without supporting it can be dangerous. The dashboard may fall and injure you. Always perform the following procedure with at least another person.
1. Take the dashboard out through the opened front driver-side door.
