Dashboard Garnish Removal/Installation




DASHBOARD GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

WARNING:
- Handling the air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. Air Bag System Service Warnings Air Bag System Service Cautions

1. Remove the battery cover. Removal and Replacement

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more.

3. Remove the following parts:
a. Front scuff plate inner (passenger's side) Front Scuff Plate Removal/Installation

b. Front side trim (passenger's side) Front Side Trim Removal/Installation

c. Side panel (passenger's side) Side Panel Removal/Installation

d. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

e. Center console (Vehicles with rear vent) Center Console Removal/Installation

f. Selector lever knob (ATX) Front Console Removal/Installation

g. Shift lever knob (MTX) Front Console Removal/Installation

h. Front console Front Console Removal/Installation

i. Glove compartment Service and Repair

j. Center panel module (vehicles with audio unit) Center Panel Module Removal/Installation

k. Center panel (vehicles without audio unit) Center Panel Removal/Installation

l. Climate control unit (vehicles with car-navigation system) Climate Control Unit Removal/Installation - Full-Auto Air Conditioner Climate Control Unit Removal - Manual Air Conditioner Climate Control Unit Installation - Manual Air Conditioner

m. Car-navigation unit (vehicles with car-navigation system) Service and Repair

n. Dashboard center panel Dashboard Center Panel Removal/Installation

o. Passenger-side air bag module Passenger-Side Air Bag Module Removal/Installation

4. Pull the dashboard garnish outward and detach clips A.






5. Remove the PAD indicator. (vehicles with PAD switch) Service and Repair

6. Remove the dashboard garnish.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
